I made a new torrent for all the free Oculus Rift demos (more than 125) that have come out since the last torrent.ДЄll the new Oculus Rift (Virtual Reality) demos for Windows released since the last torrent. Online gaming in the future: BMS, mostly due to the number of players. The completion of which is not guaranteed.

BMS comes with what AF came except Balkans but you can download other theaters. Systems and flight model fidelity: BMS by a mile.

But of course, being free, you can install it and try if it works. The ATI might be a problem, BMS requires more than AF in the graphics department. The only strong point in favor of AF that I see is the video card. My understanding is that there are people plying it like this, so I assume it works. It also supports 2D-like panning (but in 3D cockpit) but honestly I haven't tried so I don't know about that. In AF you have the 2D cockpit so one HAT does the job, in BMS you only have the 3D pit and it's supposed to be used with TrackIR or FaceTrackNoIR. If you're used to play with the keyboard in AF you should be fine.ДЄlso, the POV control I think could (but shouldn't) be a problem. Joystick-wise, I think you can do just fine with the Logitec, you have more key bindings in BMS, but not that much that could make playing tedious (to some extent). Apart from the drivers, I think I had like maybe 1 or 2 crashes in two years. I didn't experience this with AF, so I'd say point for Allied Force, but of course I could be wrong.

The only exception being that with some drivers of (to my knowledge) nVidia cards, you might have a problem (solved by installing another driver version). Stability wise, I can't complain about BMS. Mostly because if you relearn AF and then go to BMS, you'll have to relearn quite a bit. There are quite some changes so I think you'd be better off just trying BMS.

I don't mind sticking w/ F4AF if that is the most logical choice for me right now.

My PC is a bone stock Compaq Presario w/ an ATI Raedon Xpress 200 video card and AMD Athlon 64 processor. Currently using a Logitec Wingman Extreme and while I know it's cave-man, it's getting the job done for now. My question is.Should I stick with F4AF and keep practicing or should I take a leap of faith and dive into BMS? As of now my equipment is limited, but am planning on getting a HOTAS and upgrading or replacing my PC in the near future. I am starting to get the hang of it after about 110 hours in the campaign mode of F4AF. Now I am playing again (single player mode only.for right now) and am considering the switch to BMS 4.32. Years ago, I had purchased Falcon 4.0 and got really frustrated because of instability, and to be honest, while F4AF was a lot-lot smoother, it was just kicking my butt and I put it away for a while. Hi all! Just registered to SimHQ and am posting for the first time! I had no idea how big the Falcon community was until recently, when I decided I was going to dust off my F4AF disc and give it another go.
